Chinese cabbage is easy to grow with the right soil and water conditions! Start indoors 6 weeks before last frost in northern climates or plant directly in the soil 1/4 inch deep between 4-8 inches apart. Plant into well draining nutrient dense soil with high organic content. Keep the soil consistently moist for best results. Chinese cabbage is not heat tolerant but is frost tolerant. Be aware that cabbage that has survived a hard frost will not store for as long.
