Radish growing info:
Radishes are cold hardy, great for container gardens and some of the easiest veggies to grow for new gardeners. Similar to carrots and parsnips, radishes require well draining, sandy soil with no rocks or other things, lest you end up with malformed roots. They prefer full sun, too much shade will cause them to produce primarily leaves and no roots. Transplanting is unnecessary for radishes especially considering most varieties grow in 3 weeks from germination to harvest. Just direct sow every ten days, taking a break during the hottest part of the season. Radishes are a cold weather crop and in general do not do well in hot weather. Plant seeds one inch apart and about ½ inch deep. When seedlings are a week old, thin so they’re 2 inches apart. Keep consistently watered for evenly formed roots.
