Lavender growing info:
Lavender is a warm weather plant that typically prefers full sun, although may benefit from some afternoon shade. Spacing of about 1′-1.5′ between plants. Lavender can be started indoors and transplanted out, or direct sown. In cooler areas (zones 1-6) should be transplanted to the garden in spring or early summer. In warmer climates (zones 7-9) it may be better to plant in the fall after it has started to cool a bit. To harvest flowers, harvest before they are fully open and store in a cool dry place.
