Bean growing info:
Beans are one of the easiest veggies to grow out there. Start by planting one inch deep directly into rich, loamy soil, 3-8” apart depending on variety. Beans are nitrogen fixers and do well with tomatoes or in 3 sisters companion planting formation of squash, corn and beans. Avoid planting beans near corn. Best in full sun. Harvest depends on varieties. Green beans are just underdeveloped bean pods, some varieties are better than others. For dry beans grow until the pods are dried on the plant, then pick the pods and remove the seeds. Allow the seeds to continue to dry for another week in a dry environment before storing for planting next year or to cook and eat. Bush plants are as they sound, small and in bush shape which require no additional supports.
